I utilize a blend of therapeutic techniques and evidenced-based approaches, depending on the client’s individual needs. While not all-inclusive of the interventions I use, below are some in which I am certified or have additional training. We will discuss your specific treatment plan during our initial session.
AF-CBT is a trauma-informed evidence-based treatment designed to improve the relationships between children and caregivers in families involved in regular arguments and conflict, physical discipline/aggression, child physical abuse, or child behavior problems.
CARE is a trauma-informed skill based intervention that can be delivered in a variety of settings by any adult who interacts with children. It is based on several evidence-based parenting programs, most notably Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. CARE Workshops are designed to offer parents and caregivers opportunities to learn and practice the core PCIT skills.
IFS is an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
PCIT is an evidenced-based treatment model for young children with behavioral challenges due to a variety of reasons, including trauma, ADHD, and ODD. PCIT involves highly specified, step-by-step, live coached sessions with both the parent/caregiver and the child. Using a transmitter and receiver system, the parent/caregiver is coached in specific skills as he or she interacts with their child.
Positive Discipline is a parenting program designed to teach young people to become responsible, respectful, and resourceful members of their communities. The program teaches important social and life skills in a manner that is deeply respectful and encouraging for both children and adults.

SPACE is a parent-based treatment program for children and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and related concerns. Parents or caregivers participate in SPACE treatment sessions. Research shows that parents are able to help their anxious children tremendously simply by shifting their own behavior. While the child or adolescent is the patient, in most cases they do not need to attend the treatment sessions.
